Ripping through the venue, The Amazons opened their Leeds headline show with Fuzzy Tree. The song opened the gig with distinguishing beats, pounding drums and captivating riffs before frontman Matt begins to sing, the crowd echoing every word back to him.
This was the second date of the bands UK tour, which kicked off in Birmingham the night before after their European tour came to a close. The set was already so pulled together and the energy from the band so immense, it could have easily bean the closing date.
Mother was the next song performed by the band, further drawing in the audience with infectious riffs and a powerful vocal, provoking a further sing-along from the filled room. The audience were already committed to the band, hooked by the performance which had only just began, flooding the room with excitement and passion, which didn’t subside through the whole performance.
The band played songs from their album, Future Dust, which came out earlier this year as well as older hits like Junk Food Forever and In My Mind from their debut album.
The explosive show was closed by Black Magic, the crowd singing, dancing along with the music while the band allowed it to take over and control the room.
