In just two weeks Blackthorn Music Festival is returning to Whitebottom Farm for its 8th year. In the past, the festival has played host to some of the best upcoming talent from the surrounding Manchester area and further afield in the UK, while always topping the line up with unforgettable headliners.
This year won’t be any different with Scouting For Girls, The South, Pigeon Detectives and Republica being at the top of the bill. The superb lineup also includes local favourites Saytr Play, Freeda, Jess Kemp, The Elephant Trees and many more who will take to the stage during the three-day festival, taking place July 19th-21st.
Blackthorn Festival celebrates the culture of the local area and neighbouring city Manchester- famous for creating and supporting some of the best music ever made, with the surrounding areas creating some of the highest-quality food and drink.
Alongside the music, Blackthorn will also showcase a variety of other arts, with spontaneous live art installations appearing over the weekend and dedicated spots for acoustic acts to perform, the weekend will be packed with diversity and entertainment, guaranteed to keep you busy, even if you wander away from the main festival stages.
The festival merges together the best of the city and countryside, the musical and cultural heritage of Manchester with good food, drink and a little bit of mud- that magical festival combination, only miles away from the city centre.
This year Blackthorn will be bringing back Glamping, which they debuted in 2018, and the festival is offering Bell Tents to hire for the weekend, adding a little luxury to the weekend.
Even better, tickets for the weekend are just £70 and £40 for age 15 and under, with individual day tickets also available if you can’t come for every day. Fund more info on ticketing and clamping here.
See you there!
