The night started with the three-piece support act – Golf Alpha Bravo. They set the audience up for the night with some chilled music which showed both jazz and rock influences. With smooth vocals, bass, guitar and drums the overall sound was reminiscent of beach holidays, being by the sea, the sun and holiday romance.
Ten Fé began with a bang, starting with their newest release Won’t Happen. The band itself is comparable to the likes of The Courteneers and The 1975 and throughout their music there are country and pop influences. What’s particularly interesting in Ten Fé’s songs is the mix of live instruments and electronic sounds. One member of the band sits at a keyboard and has control over a laptop and he creates the dream-like, atmospheric background sounds as well as the 80s style synthesisers. The audience were treated to ten great songs, including two pieces yet to be released, and then to finish a beautiful and special four man, one guitar performance. The band played from the start to finish with enthusiasm and passion, matching perfectly with their support act and creating a summer beach dreamscape with their chill vibes and upbeat songs.
Keep an eye out for their upcoming album, set to release in a couple months, and check out their music on iTunes and Spotify!
